Following a thorough tender process DCUK FM are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a contract with Sheffield City Council for the asbestos removal to the former John Lewis site. The extensive tender was evaluated based of Health & Safety, Quality, Social Value and Price.
The project is located within the former John Lewis building, which is situated in a prominent location in the centre of Sheffield and is currently unoccupied. The building was built in the 1960’s and asbestos has been identified throughout this large site and has now been given a Grade II listed status.
DCUK FM have extensive experience on similar schemes relevant to this project including the Sheffield Grosvenor Hotel, Royal Infirmary Leeds. Royal Households, Houses of Parliament, British Library and Eggborough Power Station. With our extensive knowledge and experience in working within Historic buildings we look forward to building a working relationship with Sheffield City Council.
The contract is managed by our dedicated Asbestos Team based at our regional office in Rotherham, as well as an office located on site.
