DCUK FM recently attended the Fire Protection Association (FPA) ‘Managing Fire Risk in Tall Buildings’ Seminar. This event was aimed at all those concerned with the safety of their tall buildings regardless of age, structure or use, and is particularly beneficial to those responsible for residential premises including blocks of flats, hospitals, halls of residence and hotels.
The event took place at The Cavendish Conference Centre on the 5th February 2018 with over 100 delegates with specialities in property management. This gave us a great opportunity to exhibit our Critical service offering and connect with other industry professionals.
What was covered?
- Cladding Systems - Structure and Function. Business Resilience and Property Protection - concerned about the safety of your building and the cladding? This session will cover cladding systems, components and points of failure.
- Evacuation Policies and Procedures - learn what is appropriate and where. Ensuring systems, structure and facilities are suitable to support procedures.
- Role of the Fire and Rescue service - understand the role of the fire and rescue services. what will they / won't they; can they / can't they do? The impact they have and assess the time taken to arrive.
