Congratulations to our duct cleaning Supervisors Stuart Austen, David Flack, Mark Hargreaves and Rikky Munnelly on passing the P601 Commissioning, Examination & Testing of LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) course. They now join our existing team of supervisors and contracts managers who are P601 qualified.
This proficiency certificate course, which included a written and practical exam after the 4 days, provides the basic knowledge and information for those who are required to show competence in the management, supervision or conduct of LEV commissioning, examination and testing.
Many employees are made ill every year as a result of exposure to hazardous substances, such as dusts and fumes, which have not been adequately controlled. LEV is - or should be - an important part of many exposure control strategies.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) provides guidance on LEV (HSG258, 'Controlling airborne contaminants at work; a guide to local exhaust ventilation'), and HSE inspectors check workplaces for appropriate and effective LEV systems.
Ductclean (UK) Ltd can thoroughly examine and test the LEV system against the commissioning report, and subsequently detect and remedy system defects to ensure that LEV systems continue to control contaminate exposure.
Contact us on 0870 112 9196 or at email@example.com to discuss any LEV requirement.
