J+J Interiors Limited (bought and rebranded to DCUK FM) has carried out various refurbishment and redecoration projects for Cartier in their London stores.
A particular complex project was the restoration of the main stair case within one of the stores. The main staircase possibly proceeds 1883-4 and is a handsome oak structure with turned balusters, elaborate newel posts with ball finials, strap work paneling to underside and dado paneling. We completed the overhaul and revived all internal woodwork and paneling on the stair case.
We were also required to hang silk wallpaper, previous specialist contractors were unable to achieve the expectations of such a high end retailer desired results. We were approached and due to the experience of our labour force in dealing with such complex projects were able to carry out the project and overcome the previous issues.
